Effective Date: September 12, 2026
VoiceMaster respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the VoiceMaster mobile application handles information when you use the app.
By using VoiceMaster, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Audio Recordings
VoiceMaster allows users to record audio using their device microphone.
Audio recordings created with VoiceMaster are stored locally on the user's device in the selected recording location.
VoiceMaster does not automatically upload your recordings to our servers.
We do not listen to, analyze, sell, or access your recordings remotely.
Users remain in control of their recordings and may play, rename, edit, share, move, or delete them using the features provided by the app.
2. Microphone Permission
VoiceMaster requires access to the device microphone in order to record audio.
Microphone access is used only for recording functionality initiated by the user.
The app does not intentionally record audio without the user's action.
When supported by Android, recording may continue in the background while an active recording notification is displayed.
3. Storage
VoiceMaster may store audio recordings and related app data on your device.
Depending on the storage option selected by the user, recordings may be stored in:
- the app's private storage area; or
- a user-accessible recording folder on the device.
VoiceMaster may access files created by the app in order to provide playback, editing, renaming, sharing, moving, and deletion features.
The app does not scan unrelated personal files unless access is specifically required and granted by the user.
4. Recording Metadata
VoiceMaster may store limited information related to recordings, such as:
- recording filename;
- recording duration;
- recording date and time;
- favorite status;
- recording markers or bookmarks;
- selected recording quality;
- selected recording folder;
- app preferences.
This information is primarily stored locally on the device and is used to provide app functionality.
5. Sharing Recordings
VoiceMaster allows users to share recordings with other apps or services installed on their device.
Sharing occurs only when the user chooses to use the Share feature.
Once a recording is shared with another application or service, the privacy practices of that third party apply.
VoiceMaster is not responsible for how third-party apps handle files that users choose to share with them.
6. Audio Editing
VoiceMaster may provide features such as trimming, merging, compressing, or otherwise processing audio files.
These operations are performed on files selected by the user.
Where processing is performed locally, the audio does not need to be uploaded to an external server.
If VoiceMaster introduces cloud-based audio processing or transcription services in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
7. Personal Information
VoiceMaster does not require users to create an account to use the core recording functionality.
The current version of VoiceMaster does not intentionally collect personal information such as:
- name;
- postal address;
- telephone number;
- contacts;
- passwords;
- private messages.
If optional account or cloud features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
8. Analytics and Advertising
The current version of VoiceMaster does not use personal audio recordings for advertising purposes.
If advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or similar third-party services are added to the app in the future, those services may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, advertising identifiers, crash information, or general usage information.
Any such changes will be reflected in this Privacy Policy where required.
9. Device Information
VoiceMaster may use basic device information when necessary for normal app operation, such as Android version, storage availability, audio capabilities, and app version.
This information is used to ensure that recording and playback features function correctly.
10. Data Retention
Recordings remain on the user's device until they are deleted, moved, overwritten, or otherwise removed by the user or the operating system.
Users can delete individual recordings from VoiceMaster.
Where available, the Manage Storage feature may also allow users to review and delete stored recordings.
Uninstalling the app may delete files stored in the app's private storage area. Recordings stored in user-accessible folders may remain on the device after the app is uninstalled.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to design VoiceMaster so that recordings remain under the user's control.
However, no device, storage system, or method of electronic data storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for securing their devices and for deciding where and how recordings are shared.
12. Children's Privacy
VoiceMaster is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children.
Because recordings are normally stored locally and no account is required for the core functionality, VoiceMaster does not intentionally maintain a database of children's personal information.
Parents or guardians should supervise a child's use of recording and sharing features where appropriate.
13. Third-Party Applications
VoiceMaster may interact with third-party applications when users choose to share or open recordings.
These third-party applications operate under their own privacy policies.
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services they choose to use.
14. Permissions
Depending on the Android version and the features being used, VoiceMaster may request permissions such as:
Microphone: Required to record audio.
Notifications: May be used to display ongoing recording controls and recording status.
Storage/File Access: May be used where required to save, open, move, export, or manage recordings.
VoiceMaster requests permissions only when they are required for relevant functionality.
15. Your Choices
You can control your information by:
- choosing where recordings are stored;
- deleting recordings;
- clearing app data;
- disabling app permissions through Android settings;
- choosing whether to share recordings;
- uninstalling VoiceMaster.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when new features are introduced, legal requirements change, or the way VoiceMaster handles information changes.
Any updated version may be published on our website or linked from the app.
The effective date shown at the top of this policy will indicate when the latest version became effective.
